Hi, I’m Lisa!

A woman with curly hair sitting cross-legged on the floor in her studio, smiling, surrounded by colorful abstract paintings, holding a paintbrush.

I am an abstract artist based in McCleary, where I’ve lived for the past eight years. Most of my work is inspired by the ever-changing beauty of sunsets over the ocean. I love color, water, and light. To me, they represent joy, mystery, and truth, and I strive to infuse my paintings with all three.

Working primarily in acrylics and mixed media on medium-sized canvases (~ 24” x 24”), I use an intuitive process of play to build layers of color and texture. For me, art is about discovery. I want to create pieces that continue to reveal themselves over time; many collectors tell me they notice something new every time they return to a painting.

I believe art doesn’t need to be fully explained to be meaningful. Instead, my paintings offer a personal, open-ended experience. They create space for reflection, emotion, and interpretation, forming a quiet dialogue between the viewer and the work.
